Middleweight Designer
Join a studio where people come before process, craft comes before ego, and the work only works if everyone around the table cares.
Why we want you
You won’t be a cog in a big studio machine. You’ll be a core part of shaping the creative output of Polar, influencing the visual and strategic direction of the brands we build.
- Involved in concept development for brand identities, taking ideas from strategic foundations to refined, considered design systems.
- You’ll design digital experiences and UI layouts in close collaboration with our design and development team.
- Take ownership of your projects, not just the execution, but the direction, detail and delivery.
- You’ll turn strategy into visuals that feel smart, intentional and culturally relevant.
- You’ll create campaign assets, digital content and presentations that elevate how our clients show up in the world.
- If motion is part of your craft, you’ll bring ideas to life with thoughtful movement and transitions.
- And you’ll collaborate closely with our small team to keep pushing all creative work.
Who you are
You care; about the work, the idea, the craft, the details, the people. That matters more to us than anything else.
- You have 3–5 years’ experience in a studio (brand, digital or creative).
- You ask the right questions and turn them into strong design decisions.
- You’re confident presenting ideas and rationales, but humble enough to accept feedback.
- You’re a collaborator and know how to bring others with you.
- You’re strong conceptually, but also sweat the details too.
- Bonus points if you bring motion skills, or experience with Figma or Webflow.
What you’ll get
We’re small enough that your voice matters. Focused enough that your work makes a real impact. Ambitious enough that you’ll grow, quickly and meaningfully.
You will get:
- Ownership, real responsibility, real trust, real influence
- The chance to build meaningful brands from the ground up
- A tight, talented team that’s ambitious but grounded
- A studio that champions focus, clarity and craftsmanship
- Space to grow; into strategy, art direction, motion, digital… your path, your pace
- A competitive salary, 24-28k (dependent on experience)
The perks & benefits
- Time to recharge: 23 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + studio shutdown over Christmas
- Keep growing: Financial support for courses, conferences and industry events
- Sabbaticals: After 2 years, take up to 3 months to write that novel, travel, or recharge
- Brilliant humans: One supportive, ego-free team, working together in the studio
- Family support: Generous maternity and paternity leave
Why Polar?
At Polar you’ll be part of something different: We don’t cut corners, we build meaningful brands with clarity and care.
