Rewriting the Rules: The Story Behind the Rebrand

The New Polar

A studio shaped by intention, built by people who care, and refined through a journey two years in the making.

Polar has always believed that meaningful work comes from depth, not volume. Three years ago, that belief became the catalyst for a complete rethink of how the studio operated. Not a surface refresh. A structural shift.

It began with a simple, decisive intention:
work with fewer brands, but go far deeper with each one.

That choice reshaped everything that followed.

A Shift Years in the Making

Over the past three years, Polar rebuilt its processes, pipelines and skillsets from the inside out. Every part of the studio was refined to serve a new model that prioritises clarity, immersion and long term impact.

Craft, Sprint and Retainers were shaped through learning, experimentation and ambition. As the work matured, so did the people behind it.

By early 2025, one thing had become impossible to ignore.
The old Polar brand no longer represented the studio we had become.

The thinking had evolved.
The output had elevated.
The team had grown in confidence, capability and clarity.

We had already been operating as a different kind of studio. The identity simply had not caught up yet.

A Rebrand Driven by People, Not Aesthetics

The decision to create a new brand was not about trends or aesthetics. It was about alignment.

We put ourselves through the same process we use for clients. Open conversations. Honest reflections. A clear assessment of who we are at our best and who we aim to become.

The entire team was involved.
Multiple perspectives were brought forward.
Long term clients shared their views on our strengths and their ambitions for working with us.

We broke everything down:
What makes Polar distinct
How we want to show up for the clients we dream of working with
Where our craft has matured
Where our ambition is heading

The outcome was a shared realisation:
we needed an identity that reflected not just where we are, but where we are going.

Something more grown up. More intentional. More aligned with the work we put into the world.

Polar is shaped by a team with their own stories. Experiences they wanted to rewrite. Creative instincts they wanted to honour. A shared drive to create work that leaves an impression.

The new identity is not just a reflection of the studio. It is a reflection of the people who make it what it is.

This new identity brings that principle into sharper focus. It represents a studio that works with intention. One brand at a time. A belief that better thinking creates better brands.

A standard that holds every idea to the same question: does this move the brand forward with clarity and purpose?

The identity is confident without being loud. Elevated without being indulgent. Crafted with intention in every detail.

Nearly Two Years Later, We Are Here

The rebrand has taken as long as the shift in our model itself. Nearly two years of exploration, refinement and shared ownership. Not because it could not have been faster, but because it mattered.

This launch marks the moment where the internal truth and the external expression finally meet.

A clearer philosophy.
A stronger voice.
A refined ambition.
And a studio ready for the next chapter of work we will be proud of for years to come.

A true reflection of who we are today and what we are building next.
